HOW TO PLAY OGM   BY WARRO

Download the Ogg DirectShow Filters: OggDS0995.exe
These are required to be able to play OGM files, it should also include
the audio codec for Ogg Vorbis files. Once installed, associate .ogm
files with your media player of choice, usually WMP (VLC recommended)

mac users will need VLC sofware available HERE,

Download the directshow subtitle layer: VobSub_2.18.exe
You'll need this filter to be able to play subtitles.

There are three kind of ogm, hard subs (no vobsub needed), and soft subs separated files

or muxed all-in-one audio and subs. I'll explain soft subs:

Soft-encoded with sub files:
Make sure you have the idx and sub files and they're the
same name as the video.

Soft-encoded with subtitles muxed:
The subtitles can be switched on and off, with possible multiple
audio tracks/sub tracks, so you can have sub/dub in the same file with little overhead.
Even multiple dub/sub languages.

Selecting different audio tracks/subs:
Open the ogm file... can you see the green arrow appear in your system tray? This means
Direct VobSub is running. It has been designed for subtitles, but it has an option
to let you pick the language for both sub streams and audio streams. Right click on
the arrow. WMP also has a Language option on the right click menu.

TROUBLESHOOTING

* "i don't know how to get xvid, ogg, and vobsub codecs"

GET THE  CODECS  HERE:  XVID   OGG   VOBSUB   DIVX    VLCPLAYER
Get updated versions of divx here   xvid here  ogg here and vobsub here

* "I've installed them all, but i can't see the subs"

- Look for a green arrow that appears in your system tray
(the lower right part of the start bar, with the clock). If one
appears when you play the video, right click on it and see if any
options there strike you as being wrong. Often "hide subtitles" is
selected, or similar. You may need to double click and enter the full
properties dialog box.
If no green arrow, reinstall DirectVobSub.
Remember to stop and restart the video on each change if it appears to
have no effect.

* "i don't know how to install the codecs"

- Look for a gun and shoot yourself, this world will no longer need you.
